Ryan operates Ryan Painter Show Horses at Stately Fields in Morriston, Florida, where he specializes in over fences events. He has won multiple USEF, USHJA, NSBA and AQHA championships. Ryan grew up in Kansas and began his horse journey learning from trainer Sarah Good. His professional journey took him to California for a number of years before he started Ryan Painter Show Horses in Aubrey, Texas. He moved his training operation to the Ocala area in 2023.

Ryan has earned world championships in Trail, Western Riding and Western Pleasure, but his heart has always been with the Hunter/Jumper discipline. Among the horses Ryan has shown on his journey to the milestone include Sonny Dee Zippin, Must Be A Detail, What Matters Most, Allocate In Green, Hot Dig It, Mr Goody Too Shoes, Krowd Pleaser, All About That Blaze, RDF Aero Smith, Syncopation, My Next Edition, Iron The Blues, High Caliber Chrome, Tabloid Famous, Only Time Will Tail, Not Just Anyhoo, Real Good Reason, Red Code Review, Lukes Good To Me, Look N Hott, Thrift Shop, Stealing The Prise as well as NSBA Hall Of Fame inductee Kamanyawannadance. Ryan has also earned the NSBA High Point Hunter Rider numerous years.

Ryan will be recognized during the NSBA Honors Banquet during the 2026 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity in Tulsa, Oklahoma in August.
